The City of San Diego’s Short-Term Rental Ordinance (STRO) Team recently announced they are working on providing educational resources to support the hosting community ahead of the application period opening this fall and is asking for community input. Hosts may now participate in the City of San Diego Short-Term Rental survey to provide insight into what questions they have ahead of the lottery.

The City of San Diego also made another round of updates to their STRO webpage with additional information and resources in preparation for the application process which is set to be implemented this fall.

Updates include:

  • Frequently Asked Questions broken down by category, including: General, License Tier Scenarios, Application Process, and Lottery
  • How to access booking activity and TOT payments from Vrbo including how to export Vrbo stay tax reports and Vrbo booking activity reports
  • How to access booking activity from Airbnb
