Update: Mission Beach Town Board Meeting

During the March 6 meeting, the Mission Beach Town Board met to review recommendations to amend the short-term rental ordinance. The Town Board will bring recommendations to the Town Council later, most likely sometime in May. 

SDSTRA continues to monitor the situation and will provide updates as they become available and ways for you to make your voice heard. 

These recommended changes would reduce licenses in several neighborhoods by applying additional caps that would result in hosts in good standing losing their licenses.

Pacific Beach Town Board Revisits STR Ordinance

Last month, the Pacific Beach Town Board also reviewed the City of San Diego’s short-term rental ordinance implemented last year. Town Council has concerns that STR hosts are abusing the permit system by having family members obtain additional permits. They also addressed housing and STR neighborhood concentration.
